2006–2007

John Keats’ Endymion

Endymion Join us for the premiere of the Rogue's adaptation of Keats’ epic Romantic poem about a youth beloved of the Moon. Reminiscent of the language of Shakespeare, the story follows the passionate journey of Endymion who, under the gaze of the Immortals, seeks and finds a remarkable love. The Rogue Theatre’s production will dramatize the poem with bright and energetic staging, a 16-person ensemble, and live vocal and instrumental music.  September 28–October 15, 2006 at the Zuzi Theater

Bertolt Brecht’s The Good Woman of Setzuan

The Good Woman of SetzuanIn this parable, the gods come to earth in search of a thoroughly good person. They encounter Shen Te, a good-hearted but penniless prostitute who, to muster sufficient ruthlessness to do good and survive in an evil world, must disguise herself. Beautiful and thought-provoking, this play also features a large ensemble and live music.  March 29April 15, 2007 at the Zuzi Theatre
